Social and Humanitarian Photographic Reportage Projects
Social and Humanitarian photography gives an irreplaceable testimony of our history, both large and small. Through these photos capturing distress, exclusion, isolation, confrontation, anger, violence, protest…the photographer makes difficult social realities palpable and touches, in each of us the part of our common humanity which links us to the men, women and children captured by the lens.
My work as author photographer, principally centred on the human and the living drives me, in a manner increasingly acute, towards humanitarian reportage. There is no question whatsoever of voyeurism but on the contrary to place myself in the position of witness. Because if an image can distort the reality by manipulating it, it can, on the other hand, be an extraordinary way of raising awareness unhampered by the barriers of language and ideology, through its emotive power, an expression captured, a truth exposed in all its nakedness.

Errafik Association - Sfax, Tunisia - The association is a NGO (non-governmental organization) with social purpose in the service of the abandoned childhood. She has a nursery allowing the coverage of 100 babies a year. The permanent nursing is assured by maternal assistants supervised by her manageress, Mrs Kallel Wided. The management of the association is under the responsibility of an executive committee constituted by 13 members whose doctor Drida the president is gynecologist to Sfax. The Errafik association sets in charge of the nourrisons of the birth in 18 months until its reinstatement within his family, its adoption or its investment of a family of reception. She also supervises on the psychological, nutritional and medical plan. At the same time she supports awareness programmes of the young people against the desolation.

Taramana Association - Phom Phen, Cambodia - Based initially to support the studies of two children Cambodian orphans (Séthara called "Tara" and Maryna nicknamed "Mana"), the Taramana association reorientated its activities in December, 2006 to launch a program of more ambitious individual sponsoring to help a big number of children discriminated in Cambodia. Objectif Mali Association - Bamako, Mali - The association aims at the construction of an elementary and maternal school in Mali in Bamako. The objective is that this school becomes very fast autonomous and is a pole of dynamism in its district and to favor the implementation of educational, humanitarian, social and cultural programs from these schools.
Don of photos for the association "Enfantillages Bordeaux" (association with humanitarian and cultural vocation) which organizes a photographic exhibition. The students composing the association will propose a selection of photos evoking the childhood and its childishnesses. The works lent by the Regional Collection of Contemporary Art, photos of an artist and photos of journey will be reunited. All the harvested profits will be put back in its entirety to the UNICEF Gironde: in exchange for a gift made for Childishnesses Bordeaux, an exposed photography will be offered.
