The aim of the association « Toutes à l’école » (Everyone to school) is to create schools and educational programmes with a view to educating young girls in developing countries. We encourage you to discover more about the initiatives undertaken by this association, supported by numerous actresses and female journalists.

The “Toutes à l’école” association, presided by Tina Kieffer, director and editor of the magazine Marie Claire, was created in December 2005, with the aid of vice president Hoa Mai Nguone, promoting education for girls in developing countries.

According to a “Save the Children” report, young girls are being put to work in over 70 countries worldwide. However studies also show that educated women have a positive influence on the country as a whole: less malnutrition, a lower infant mortality rate, a decrease in the spread of AIDS and an improved economic situation.

“Toutes à l’école” has chosen to open a first pilot school in Cambodia: The “Happy Chandara School”, which now welcomes over 200 young girls from the age of 6 to 10 years old.

Thanks to this initiative, the underprivileged young girls of Cambodia, who are often deprived of schooling after secondary school, now receive a quality education and are supported by the association throughout their further education. The association therefore spares these girls from being put to work straight after primary school and allows them access to professions, which will benefit their country. In addition, this school also has dozens of schools in Africa, which has enabled students to complete highly successful studies in France.
